Core Value: Customer Service

The winner is Jaiman Vasani, Senior Billings & Collection Controller, Group Finance

Nominated by: David Smith, Leasing Director with Land Securities

Reason for nomination:

Quote from nomination "If Jaiman makes a promise he keeps a promise and is alert to my needs as an internal customer and those of our tenants and British Land. Customer Service is about exceeding expectations and he does this spectacularly".

Core Value: Excellence

The winner is Gary Young, Craftsman with service provider George S Halls

Nominated by: Hugh Allison, Senior Business Services Manager, Land Securities Trillium

Reason for nomination:

Over the years Gary has proven himself to be adaptable, flexible, proactive, and a highly motivated individual. The site is a real credit to him and his efforts. An example of a task where Gary goes above and beyond: the official play scheme on the site is for members of staff to bring their children to during holiday periods. Gary has spent a considerable amount of time with the children, educating them about plants and shrubs.

Core Value: Integrity

The winner is Ian Buckland, Customer Care Officer with service provider G4S

Nominated by: Angie Tydeman, Business Services Manager, Land Securities Trillium and Paul Stanley, Area Manager with G4 Security Services

Reason for nomination:

For taking charge of an emotional, stressful and traumatic situation involving a two year old child and her panic stricken mother. Thanks to Ian's alertness and calmness he responded to one of the worst situations, in a professional, capable manner which resulted in the saving of the child's life.

Core Value: Innovation

The winner is Dave Downes, Centre Engineer with White Rose Shopping Centre

Nominated by: Peter Cook, Centre Manager, Land Securities

Reason for nomination:

Historically we have had difficulty in confirming all tenant staff and customers are safely accounted for when we have to evacuate the centre in a fire emergency. Dave has devised, designed and produced a solution for this. With his electrically operated muster station system, tenants are able to indicate that their staff and customers have safely evacuated the centre.

Respect for the Individual

The winner is Gordon Glean, Security & Car Park Manager with Lewisham Shopping Centre

Nominated by: Wayne Pearce, Centre Manager, Land Securities

Reason for nomination:

For the work on enhancing community and police relations in South-East London as well as maintaining a high level of security in Lewisham Centre and its car park.

Team Winner

The winning team is White Rose Shopping Centre
Team members: Dave Downes and John Honeybourne

Nominated by: Jim White, Operations Manager with Land Securities

Reason for nomination:

For working together and responding instantly. Their actions resulted in saving a bus drivers life. Dave gave mouth to mouth and chest compressions while John prepared the defibrillator applying the pads and leads to the gentleman's chest. Within seconds a shock was delivered from the Defib and both Dave and John knew that the shock had been a success as the gentleman started breathing for himself.
